Wow… I like the beat of the song and I like Rihanna’s tone on the hook and Em’s rhyme style. But, the more I listen to this song the less I like it. It is so violent and Extreme. I think this video gives a terrible portrayal of a trailer trash relationship that both individuals need to get out of, before someone gets set on fire… This obviously abusive relationship shows so much negativity even the “love making” looks like they are going to snap at any second. Like i kept waiting for them to fight then make up and then maybe fight again but to make up again and I guess Eminem wanted to show that some relationships the “making up” part just never comes. There was no positive passion in this video. It looked forced. I don’t think it’s appropriate to even try to make domestic violence look “sexy” and I can definitely see this video not lasting on any music video channels on public TV for very long… If they even allow it…(I watched it on youtube). I hope no one was really burned or beaten and i hope Domenic’s (from lost) hand is alright from smashing bottles and punching through walls and clearly beating his gf… Come on, a girl like Megan deserves better treatment then that…
Unbrelievable wrote a great article about a similar topic the other day concerning passion in a relationship and how it swings both ways. As passionately as you love each other the same passion exists when you fight each other so it can be strenuous on a relationship. Personally, I am a very passionate person and believe that 2 passionate people can build a phenomenal relationship together if they mould together and learn each other. My sister told me not to long ago that her and her long-time bf had to learn how to fight. It was an interesting concept. When you first start to date someone you don’t know what limits they have and what angles they use and what they mean or don’t mean when they’re angry. Not that fighting is a good thing, but it happens in all relationships and couples need to learn each other and understand they way they think and act.
